01 // THE CLIENT

Nautilus — the first restaurant in Ubud built around the sea

Nautilus Seafood Restaurant & Bar operates on Jl. Suweta in Ubud. It is the only venue in the area built entirely around seafood: oysters, lobster with zucchini pasta, barramundi with black dumplings.

The interior draws on the nautilus shell and golden ratio — organic forms, earthy tones, modern coastal aesthetic. Kitchen and bar operate daily from 3 pm to 11 pm.

02 // CHALLENGE

The restaurant operated, but table filling was unpredictable

When we took over, ads were running but system strategy was missing. Traffic arrived, but walk-ins created service bottlenecks and inventory friction.

Audit findings:

  • Partial analytics tracking: key actions and Chope bookings were omitted from reporting.
  • No language segmentation — all Ubud audiences were lumped into one campaign.
  • GDN and broad island-wide targeting produced cheap clicks with zero arrivals.
  • Bookings were not optimized as a conversion goal.

Why bookings matter for seafood: Fresh seafood has short shelf life and high COGS. Pre-booking provides predictable demand, enabling precise purchasing and preventing item stock-outs.

03 // SOLUTION

Rebuilding advertising around predictable advance reservations

1. End-to-end Integration with Chope & GA4

Linked Chope booking widget directly to GA4 and Meta/Google Ad accounts. Ad algorithms optimized for users completing reservation actions.

2. Language & Geo-Segmentation

Segmented campaigns into expats, English-speaking tourists, and European traveler groups with tailored messaging for oyster sets and lobster dinners.

3. High AOV Set Menus

Promoted tasting menus and cocktail pairings in ad creatives. Pre-booked guests spent 18% more on average than walk-in guests.

04 // RESULTS

2.8x Growth in Bookings & 93% Peak Occupancy
